About 109° West

Bringing you the best of the West!

109° West is the brain-child of passionate and energetic Colorado locals. It was born out of a desire to not only showcase the majestic beauty of Southwest Colorado, but to also provide cycling enthusiasts with an unrivaled level of service . This year's route will prove to be a truly memorable week in the Rocky Mountains. The ride is a 7 day, recreational, non-race event, that is fully supported with aid stations, State Highway Patrol, proper route markings, and a committed and competent staff.

It is our desire to fulfill the need for a Colorado ride that is smaller in size and yet provides a high level of comfort and convenience that is unmatched by larger rides. Therefore the ride will utilize hotels, motels, B&B's and condominium accommodations for cyclists. Camping will not be an option on the 109° West ride. We aspire to provide a safe and memorable experience that will create a cycling community unique to 109° West and will encourage lasting connections long after the riding ends.

The 109° West Bicycle Tour will take place the 4th week of June 2017. It will be a 7-day event with the ride beginning on Sunday June 25 and ending on Saturday July 1. Wednesday June 28 will be a day off to allow participants to enjoy the Durango area.  Total mileage will be 430. The ride will be point to point. Registration will take place on Saturday June 24 in Moab, UT.

We would like to remind you that participating in any ride of this stature requires individuals to be physically fit and committed to the preparation necessary to "do the miles". While we are fully prepared to provide the necessary SAG support, it should be considered the exception and not the rule for planning your riding day.

Transportation to Moab from Cortez is available on registration day, 6/24 as well as on the final day 7/1.  Weeklong parking will be available in Cortez and Moab. Please see the transportation for pricing and details.
